The Cellular Jail

The Cellular Jail stands as a symbol of colonial oppression cruelty & untold suffering is mute witness to the tortures meted out to the freedom fighters who were incarcerated in this jail .the prison completed in the year 1906 acquired the name “CELLULAR” because it is entirely made up on individual cells for solitary confinements of the prisoners. Jail is situated in the north-east corner of Port Blair. Now it has declared national memorial by the Indian Administration.…

Light & Sound Show: IThe history of the great & brave freedom struggler is brought alive in a moving Sound & Light show. The show is conducted every evening in the premises in Cellular Jail which give us a brief idea about the happening in the jail prior to the independence.

Water Sports Complex

Water Sports Complex is a renowned sports complex in Andaman, it is a unique sports complex offering many adventurous water sports. Fisheries Museum

Fisheries museum is near the water sports complex The Aquarium is praise worthy place enclosing many marine lives including various kinds of sea fishes live corals, sharks, polyp’s starfish and turtles.

Ross Island

Ross Island, the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British regime, is a tiny island standing as guard to Port Blair harbour. The island presently houses the ruins of old buildings like Ballroom, Chief Commissioner’s House, Government House, Church, Hospital, Bakery, Press, Swimming Pool, Cemetery and Troop Barracks, all in dilapidated condition.

Carbyns Cove Beach

A small picturesque sea beach 7 kms. away from Port Blair. A drive to the beach along South Point Road reminds a tourist of Goa or Kovalam in Kerala.Corbyns Cove is a palm fringed beach and an ideal place for swimming.

Chatam Saw Mill

Chatam Saw Mill owned by the forest department, one of the largest saw mills in Asia. This mill converts huge logs into timber of different sizes and supplies to private & government departments at reasonable price. Ornamental species used in manufacture offurniture and handicraft are processed here.

Samudrika Marine Museum, run by the Indian Navy, is located at Delanipur in Andaman. This museum is gives a good retrospect of the history, geography, peoples, oceanic environment and archaeology of the islands.

Anthropological Museum
Anthropological Museum situated at the heart of the city. it gives glimpses of the tribal native peoples of the islands it displays tribal essential and artifacts such asBoats, Weapons, Baskets, Clothings, Photographs, model and records of exploratory expedition undertaken over the years .A well stocked library provides the scholar with invaluable references to tribal.

Forest Museum
Forest Museum in Andaman is situated at Haddo and is run by the Forest Department of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The museum very typical in its contents displays the artifacts made out of timber includingPeauma, Oak, Gurjan, Marble, Paduak and Satin Wood. The Museum helps the visitor to get some insight in the forestry and related activities. Open on all working days.

Chidiyatapu as its name this is favorite destination for bird watchers famous for enchanting views ofMunda Pahar There is a forest guesthouse situated on top of a hillock providing a fabulous view of isolated islands submerged corals and the breath taking sunset and also a best picnic spot.

Ross & Smith Islands

These beautiful Islands are in North Andaman, few nautical miles from Diglipur Jetty.

What makes these Islands truly beautiful and sets them apart is that “these two Islands are connected to each other through a Natural Bewitching Sand Bar”. They are actually a single Island separated by a sandy stretch which makes them appear like, “Two Separate Islands”. It’s like if you face both the Islands, you see a road kind of thing which is actually Sand bar linking both the Islands. And thus, while walking on the Bar one can move from One Island to the other.

Jolly Buoy

Jolly Buoy Island is located about 50 km from Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The island is a part of the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park (also Wandoor Marine National Park). It has a golden shining beach with a canopy of hanging branches of dense bushes. The underwater marine life is fantastic and indicates a sharp reflection of the corals and sea weeds in the beautiful designs of plants and flowers. Jolly Buoy Island is an ideal place for scuba diving and snorkeling. It is accessible by boats from Wandoor, which is about 30 km by road from Port Blair.

Radhanagar Beach (Havelock Island)

Radha Nagar Beach lies on the south coast of Havlock Island. Radhanagar is a Grade 'A' beach of outstanding quality. This beach is also rated as the best beach in Asia. It has an overall length of two kms and avg. width of 30 to 40 mts. The sand is white coral, very fine in grain. The beach has an excellent exposure and is not subject to shading which could reduce its attraction for sunbathing. The rocky outcrops seen at the end of the beach provide some variety to the littoral.

The quality of the water at Radha Nagar beach is exceptionally calm and clear. There is a very little wave action and consequently almost no turbidly in the water even along the surf line. This is ideal for snorkelling, scuba diving, elephant ride and spending time with nature.

Elephant Beach (Havelock)

Elephant Beach is further north from Radhanagar and is popular with Indian tourists.It has a rich coral reef formation and amazing under water marine life. It's reachable on foot from Beach #7 or by fishing boat from the east side of the island; We arrange snorkeling and diving trips here.

Neil Island

Neil Island is known as the vegetable bowl of Andaman. Neil Islands of Andaman provides the best site for touring in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The serene tranquility and the mesmerizing ambiance of the Neil Islands at Andaman makes it the most happening destinations of tourism in Andaman. In Andaman, Neil Island is famous for snorkeling. The Sitapur beach is among the well known beaches of the Neil Islands. Moreover, the Neil Island provides the most eco-friendly spot for picnicking. In fact, at Sitapur, Laxmanpur and Bharatpur of the Neil Islands one can enjoy the serenity of the nature and blissful existence of the village life. These sites in the Neil Islands are, indeed, a celestial bliss!

Baratang (Mud-volcanoes, Lime stone cave)

Baratang Island is located at about 100 Km off the Capital city of Port Blair on the NH 223 (known as Andaman Trunk Road) towards Diglipur. The total length of the Island is around 22 Kms and totally separated by Creeks on both sides. It lies between latitudes 11є 46’ 10” and 12є 18’ 35” North and between longitudes 92є 36’ 55” and 92є 10’ 40” East. The island has dense Tropical Forests of all types ranging from tidal swamp forest to Evergreen to littoral forests laced with sandy beaches along its coast at Baludera, Roglachang etc.

The presence of Mud Volcano near Jarawa Creek and limestone caves in Nayadera is a rare attraction for tourists, as it is present only at few places in the world and these are truly wonders of nature and a must see sights. In addition the mangrove ecosystem is an attraction to bird lovers and nature enthusiasts, as biodiversity rich areas which harbors diverse flora and fauna.
